Celebrating Women in Leadership: The Power of Inclusion🌱

At Aspen Root Collective, we believe that great leadership knows no gender. We are passionate about cultivating strengths and growing leaders of all kinds, but this month, in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8th, we want to take a moment to highlight the importance of supporting and uplifting women leaders in our workplaces and communities.

The impact of women in leadership is undeniable. Studies show that companies with more women in executive roles are 21% more likely to outperform their peers in profitability (McKinsey & Company). Organizations with diverse leadership teams also experience higher levels of innovation, improved employee engagement, and stronger financial performance. And yet, women are still underrepresented in leadership, holding just 31% of senior leadership roles globally (World Economic Forum).

International Women’s Day (IWD) is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action. Since 1911, IWD has been a global movement advocating for gender equity, leadership opportunities, and an inclusive future for all. This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, encourages us to break down barriers, challenge bias, and foster workplaces where all voices are valued in swift and decisive ways. It calls for urgency to increase the momentum of change in both our personal and professional spheres of influence. Visit the International Women's Day website for ways to get involved.

One way we’re putting this into action is through Lean In Circles—small peer groups that provide women with a space to connect, learn, and grow together. We currently host FREE Lean In Circles and are looking to launch additional circles in our community. If you’re interested in joining a circle or starting your own, we’d love to hear from you!

We're Rooting for your Results! 🌱📣

We’ve been on the move lately, supporting incredible clients close to home and across the state! From Muncie to Carmel, Noblesville to Fort Wayne—and, of course, our hometown favorite, Auburn—we’ve had the joy of working with nonprofits like The Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts and collaborating with Shafer Leadership Academy on the Working Genius. Whether guiding teams deeper into their strengths or introducing these concepts for the first time, helping people cultivate rooted results is what it’s all about. One of our favorite moments? A participant leaving a post-it that read, “I thought I knew my strengths, now I know my impact.” Now that’s the kind of transformation we love to see! 🌱
